Tabular alumina is one of the main and widely used raw materials in the refractory industry. Due to its high purity, excellent refractoriness, high abrasion resistance, high chemical resistance, and other properties, it has extensive applications in various castable refractories, shaped products such as bricks and precast components, and other refractory materials

Calcined alumina is a synthetic raw material widely used in a variety of industries such as refractory, industrial and engineering ceramics, polishing materials for plastics, metal and glass, rubber and plastic fillers, paints and coatings and thermal spray powders. This product is obtained by heating aluminum hydroxide and converting it to the transition phases and eventually the alpha phase. 

In high-alumina bricks, the alumina content varies from a minimum of 45% to 99%. Similar to chamotte bricks, high-alumina bricks are classified based on the amount of Al2O3.

Different types of raw material can be used in refractories.
